  WHAT DOES THIS TOOL DO?

  Flywheels and magneto rotors can be seated extremely tightly onto the tapered end of the crankshaft. Removing the retaining nut or bolt does not necessarily allow the flywheel to simply slide off.

  This specialty puller threads onto the compatible flywheel/rotor. The center forcing screw then applies controlled pressure against the crankshaft, allowing the flywheel to be pulled from its seated position.

  The included shaft protector cap is placed between the forcing screw and crankshaft where required, helping protect the crankshaft end during removal.

  Using the proper puller provides a safer and more controlled method than attempting to pry or hammer the flywheel off.

  IMPORTANT USAGE INFORMATION

  LUBRICATE THE THREADS

  Lubricate the puller body and forcing-screw threads before use. Proper lubrication reduces friction, thread wear and the possibility of galling.

  FULLY ENGAGE THE PULLER

  Thread the puller body correctly and sufficiently onto the flywheel before applying removal force.

  DO NOT FORCE INCORRECT THREADS

  The puller should thread smoothly onto the compatible flywheel.

  If it does not thread correctly, STOP and verify the required puller diameter, pitch and thread direction.

  Forcing an incorrect puller can damage the flywheel threads.

  USE CONTROLLED FORCE

  Hand tools are recommended for controlled removal. Avoid excessive force or impact-tool use that could damage the puller, flywheel or crankshaft.

  BASIC USE

  1. Remove the appropriate flywheel retaining nut or bolt.

  2. Verify the application requires an M24 x 1.5 RH female puller.

  3. Lubricate the puller and forcing-screw threads.

  4. Back the center forcing screw out before installing the puller.

  5. Thread the puller body fully onto the flywheel by hand.

  8. Apply steady, controlled pressure until the flywheel releases.
